I bought the C P CHANTPOWER Tyre Inflator and I have to say, this little beauty is a game-changer. It’s like having your very own pit crew in the boot of your car—minus the garage, grease, and questionable banter. The 20V rechargeable battery means I can top up my tyres anywhere. No more hunting for a petrol station with a working air pump—this is the air compressor I never knew I needed, until I saw my flat tyre giving me that “I’m done” look. Works well. Gauge changeable from PSI to kvp. Easy change from cable to battery. Plug in cable could do with being another metre longer. My GLA only has a plug socket in rear. Cable won’t reach front wheels. Bought an extension cable to solve problem. Very pleased with it. Carry bag is great for keeping it all together.

Having seen reports about various compressors having less than accurate gauges, I was reluctant to commit to purchasing one. After my 12volt version purchased from Aldi developed a fault with the clamp which fastens it on to the tyre valve, I had to find a replacement. This one cost me almost £50 compared to the £30 I'd paid 2 years ago. It is a 20V battery though and I believe it does inflate slightly quicker. It looks pretty much identical to Aldi's brand and has the same digital LCD display panel and buttons for adjusting the pressure. There are also about 4 different systems of measurement but I stick to the standard PSI. On first use I used a digital tyre pressure gauge to check the compressor and I was pleased to see that the gauges matched exactly. I've not used the compressor to blow up a completely flat tyre yet (touch wood) but it is fairly quick for topping up or increasing by a few PSI when carrying a full load in the car. I find it a bit louder than I remember my old one being but as it doesn't usually run for more than a few seconds at a time, it isn't a major issue but you wouldn't want to use it in the early hours if your neighbours are still in bed! It comes with its own neat case for storing when not in use. So far it seems to be a good bit of kit and I would recommend it. If I have any issues long term I will amend my review.
