Had shopped around for a battery for my old 2008 car without stop/start, Halfords cheapest option was over £200 lol who are they kidding !! good old amazon around £90 was extremely well packaged and arrived reasonably fast, easy to fit and will hopefully last me another 5 years to so. highly recommended.

I wish I could share a positive experience about the Bosch S4008 car battery, but unfortunately, my encounter has been frustrating and disappointing. I purchased this battery less than a year ago, and after using it minimally—only listening to music once with the car ignition off—I found that the battery discharges alarmingly fast. Despite investing in one of the top car battery chargers, I was unable to revive the battery after several attempts. This early failure raised my concerns, so I reached out to the Battery group regarding the warranty. They requested a £20 fee for testing the battery, which would be refunded if the battery was found to be faulty. However, I was already wary. The process took an agonizingly long month. After every message sent to the Battery group, I had to wait about a week for a response. This lapse in communication added to my frustration and made me feel as if I was being ignored. When the test results finally came back, the news was disheartening: the battery's health status was just 7%. The reason? They claimed that because I had discharged it once, my warranty was void. This is absolutely unacceptable. A quality car battery should withstand multiple discharge cycles without failing so spectacularly that it becomes unusable. The way the situation was handled feels deeply unjust and borders on fraudulent. I expected a reliable product from a reputable brand like Bosch, but instead, I’ve been left with a battery that failed to meet even the most basic expectations of performance and longevity. In conclusion, my experience with the Bosch S4008 car battery has been a costly mistake, and I would advise potential buyers to steer clear of this product and the associated warranty service. There are many better options available out there that can provide the reliability and support one should expect when making such an investment. Gute Markenbatterie zu günstigem Preis. Dank der Amazon Teileprüfung paßt sie auch einwandfrei ins Fahrzeug. Die Sendungsverfolgung hat leider überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Sie kam schon sehr schnell am 20.02. an. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hieß es immer noch Lieferung am 25.02. Und da es sich um Gefahrgut handelt hätte sie nicht im Laden abgegeben werden können. Vorgewarnt durch andere Rezensionen habe ich die Batterie zunächts ans Ladegerät gehängt. Das hat ein leeres Batterieymbol und 10.,6 V angezeigt. Aber nach wenigen Stunden war sie voll. Toller Service von Bosch! Kurz nach meiner E-Mail Anfrage erhielt ich die Antwort, daß beim Einbau im Fahrzeuginnern ein Entgasunsgsschlauch angeschlossen werden muß (war mir schon klar, ist auch einer vorhanden) und die Öffnung, für die kein Entgasungsschlauch vorhanden ist mit dem bei Lieferung vorhandnen Stopfen verschlossen sein muß. Grund meiner Anfrage war, daß bei der alten von einer Markenwerkstatt eingebaute Batterie des Fahrzeugherstellers nämlich an der zweiten Öffnung offen war. Warnung daher: Wer eine Startterbatterie bestellt, sollte über sicherheitshalber über ein Ladegerät verfügen.

Classica batteria d’avviamento per auto, suv, furgoni… Il marchio non c’è bisogno di presentarlo in quanto è leader nell’ambito automobilistico per via dei suoi brevetti. La mia vecchia batteria, uguale a questa, installata nel giugno del 2018 e dopo periodi di fermo del mezzo ha subito un degrado che mi ha portato la tensione sotto i 12V…se usavo il mezzo anche con 11,7V accendeva il motore ma a volte dovevo ricorrere allo starter nei periodi di fermo superiori al mese. Ho optato per questa identica “piombo acido” da 74Ah e spunto da 680A. Mentre il primo parametro è la capacità elettrica misurata in Ampère x ora, per spunto si indica quanta corrente si può erogare nella fase di accensione del motore. Praticamente indica la potenza massima della batteria in fase d’accensione e d’inverno è un parametro che ci consente di avviare più velocemente in proporzione diretta a questo valore. P = V x I (per gli addetti ai lavori!). Appena arrivata l’ho collegata al multimetro ed i valori sono stati di 12,6V. Installata, quindi collegato il carico elettrico dell’impianto dell’auto (SUV da 4,5 metri), la tensione è scesa a 12V. Tenendo il motore acceso per circa 15 minuti la tensione è risalita a 12,6V mantenendosi intorno a questo valore. Il peso è quasi 18kg, per essere una batteria al piombo acido è un valore di tutto rispetto. Il prezzo è stato 104€ (forse troppo alto a mio modo di vedere, la concorrenza è agguerrita!). Voto: 8/10 => 5 stelle scarse.

Malgré une demande de livraison à domicile, le transporteur est passé devant chez moi pour aller au magasin dépôt à 9km plus loin. Sympa, j'ai du demander de l'aide à mon voisin (vu que ma voiture est en panne de batterie) pour récupérer la nouvelle le lendemain. Cool ! Que dire.. La batterie est parfaite, rien à redire. La batería estaba con media carga aunque daba por encima de los 12 voltios por lo cual aunque puede arrancar el coche porque tiene bastante amperaje decidí cargarla. Después de unas 10 horas cargando el cargador debería mostrar casi cero pero aún se mantenía en carga, de los 4 amperios iniciales, bajó a 2 amperios y ya no se movió el amperímetro. Las baterías llevan un troquelado (casi todas) en la parte superior derecha en el caso de Bosch pero que los primeros números y letras no se ven (fallo en el troquelaje?) y por lo tanto imposible de ver la fecha de fabricación y de que planta procede, se puede apreciar en la primera foto que no se ven los números. En la segunda foto, la garantía supongo de la bateria que viene enganchada en la misma, como se puede apreciar, abajo a la izquierda, hay una fecha, 11/2020, por lo que deduzco que es la fecha de fabricación. Si eso es así, me parece muy mal por parte de Amazon por entregarme una batería que aunque parece nueva se fabricó hace casi 2 años y medio. Una batería sin uso tanto tiempo puede perder capacidad de carga como parece que esta pasando ya que el cargador no bajó de los 2 amperios después de varias horas como comenté anteriormente. Si bien funciona bien, solo la he probado un día, veremos cuanto dura ya que la anterior tenía los mismos síntomas (no cargaba totalmente hasta que dejó de cargar) y "murió" de un día para otro. Por lo tanto, a pesar de la marca, le doy pocas estrellas ya que creo que va a tener poca vida útil y va a ser dinero tirado. Lo único positivo, lo envían por MRW, es que llega un día antes del indicado y que el embalaje está correcto y te la suben a casa. Edit: Modifico las 3 estrellas por 5 ya que la batería después de unos meses y con poco uso del vehículo aguanta perfectamente la carga y lo arranca de manera instantánea con la sensación de que suministra toda la potencia de la que dispone por lo cual estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.

Llego 5 dias antes,muy rapido i en perfectas condiciones,con 60%de carga i 12,85 voltios. Encajo perfectamente en mi C4 Grand Picaso de 2008 i aranca muy bien de momento. Fabricada en Mayo 2024. Veremos como se comporta i cuanto dura. Muy contento de momento. Gracias al vendedor i a Amazon.
